Hand Crafted from Hide Leather with Glass Seed Beads with a Blue Field and American Flags Motif Design

In Very Good Condition

The Plains tribes (including Lakota, Northern Cheyenne, Cree, Blackfoot, and others) created intricately beaded vests using glass seed beads sewn onto hide (deerskin or similar) or cloth.
A doll-sized or miniature vest made as a toy, model, or display piece.
Blue is a popular color in these pieces, used for solid backgrounds, geometric patterns, flags, tipis, floral motifs, or pictorial scenes (e.g., horses, riders, stars, or American flags). Beadwork techniques include lane stitching (for solid fills) and overlay stitching. Designs often blend traditional geometric elements with post-contact influences like floral patterns or patriotic motifs.
