Pre-Columbian pottery heads refer to ceramic sculptures or fragments from the ancient Americas (before European contact in 1492). These artifacts primarily come from Mesoamerica cultures (such as Maya, Veracruz/Remojadas, Teotihuacan, Colima, and others in modern Mexico and Central America) and Andean cultures (such as Nasca/Nazca, Moche, or Cupisnique in Peru and surrounding regions).

These heads were often parts of larger effigy vessels (pots shaped like human or supernatural figures), figurines, incense burners, or architectural ornaments. Artisans hand-modeled them from terracotta (fired clay), sometimes adding slip (liquid clay) for color, incising details, or applying post-fire paint. They range from small fragments to more complete portrait-like pieces.
