Reproduction Caddo pipes are modern copies of traditional ceramic/stone smoking pipes made by the ancestral Caddo peoples of the southeastern United States (primarily present-day East Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma). These were used for smoking tobacco (and other plants) in both everyday and ceremonial contexts, Caddo pipes date from roughly A.D. 800 onward (with earlier Woodland-period precursors).
