Becky Martinez is a contemporary San Ildefonso potter who works in this tradition. She has participated in community projects preserving and interpreting Pueblo pottery history, including the 2016 "Great Big Pottery Project" in Los Alamos/White Rock, New Mexico, where she and other artists (such as Marvin Martinez, Evone Martinez, and others) painted large-scale replicas illustrating the evolution of San Ildefonso styles from ancient times through Maria Martinez's black-on-black innovations to modern works.
