Blue Corn (Crucita Gonzales Calabaza, 1921–1999) was a renowned potter from San Ildefonso Pueblo in New Mexico, celebrated for her mastery of traditional Pueblo pottery techniques, including distinctive blackware (black-on-black) pieces. She learned pottery-making as a young child from her grandmother and mother, and over her long career she produced black-on-black ware, redware, and especially innovative polychrome pottery that helped revive 19th-century San Ildefonso styles.

 Purchased at the pueblo from Maria and her family in about 1966.
