Dominguita Sisneros Naranjo (b. 1942) is a traditional potter from Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo (formerly known as San Juan Pueblo) in New Mexico.adobegallery.com She learned pottery-making from her mother, Tomasita Reyes Montoya (1899–1978), one of the original group of eight women who revived San Juan/Ohkay Owingeh pottery in the 1930s under the guidance of Regina Cata. That revival drew on ancient Potsuwi’i Incised Ware (circa 1450–1500), featuring geometric fine-line designs, polished red slip areas, and often micaceous slip in the incisions. adobegallery.com Her older sister is Rosita de Herrera, also a noted potter; the sisters frequently collaborated with their mother (pieces signed by both). Dominguita’s daughter Jennifer Sisneros (later associated with Santa Clara Pueblo through marriage) continued the family tradition.
