This outstanding piece is a true work of art from Santa Clara del Cobre, Mexico. Santa Clara is a town worldwide renowned for the quality of it´s copper crafts. And this piece in particular is one of the best achieved. Copper has been worked in this area since pre-Hispanic times, with the native Purhépecha being the most advanced smiths of that time.
