Diana Halsey is a contemporary potter from Santa Clara Pueblo in New Mexico, renowned for its tradition of polished blackware pottery. She is the daughter of noted potter Linda Askan and often collaborates with her mother on pieces, while also creating her own traditional and contemporary works in black and red clay.

Linda Jo’Povi Askan (born 1954), a potter of Santa Clara Pueblo and Diné (Navajo) descent. Her Tewa name, Jo’Povi, means "Cactus Flower" and was given to her by her grandmother. She signs many of her works as Jo’Povi, Santa Clara Pueblo. Linda creates traditional blackware vessels, carved jars, bowls, wedding vases, and especially figurative sculptures/figurines, including animal figures (bears, turtles, coyotes) and detailed miniature Nativity scenes (nacimientos) with polished and matte elements.

Santa Clara Pueblo pottery is famous for its deep-carved or polished blackware (achieved through a reduction firing process), often featuring signature elements like bear paw impressions or sgraffito designs. Many pieces by Diana Halsey and her mother are signed collaboratively or individually.
