Barbara Martinez (also known as Barbara Naranjo Martinez or Barbara Martinez Bray, "Jo-Povi" or Cactus Flower) is a Santa Clara Pueblo potter born in 1947. She is known for traditional handmade carved blackware and redware pottery. She learned pottery from her mother, Flora Naranjo, and began making pieces around age 18 (circa 1965). She is part of a pottery-making family that includes her children (Vickie Martinez, Chris Martinez, Manuel Martinez, Sammy Naranjo) and sister Glenda Naranjo.
