Cornelius Antonio White was part of the famous Tafoya pottery family extended network at Santa Clara Pueblo. He began making Nativity sets in the 1960sā1970s and continued through the 1980s and early 1990s. His wife Margaret C. White and other family members sometimes collaborated or made similar sets. His work is prized for its flawless black firing and graceful, serene forms.
