Rose Naranjo (1917–2004), a respected Santa Clara Tewa potter known for traditional redware and other forms. She came from a prominent artistic family and produced various vessels, including bowls and pots.

Santa Clara Pueblo in New Mexico, a renowned center for Native American Pueblo pottery. Santa Clara potters are famous for their redware (fired in an oxygen-rich environment to produce a rich red or reddish-brown color) and polychrome styles, which involve multiple colors—often red base with painted designs in white, black, beige/tan, or other earth tones using natural pigments and slips.
