Earlene Youngbird Tafoya (1947–2008) was a respected potter from Santa Clara Pueblo (Kha'p'oo Owinge) in New Mexico. She is best known for her high-quality polychrome redware jars (and some blackware), featuring traditional designs like the Avanyu (water serpent), feather bands, terraced rain clouds, and geometric motifs.

 

Her work often includes multiple balanced design bands with exceptional painting and well-formed shapes using the traditional coil-and-polish technique. She came from a family of potters: daughter of Felix and Adelaide Silva Sisneros, and married into the Tafoya family (daughter-in-law of Mida Tafoya). She exhibited at events like Santa Fe Indian Market.
