Madeline Tafoya (1912–2002) was a noted Santa Clara Pueblo potter from New Mexico, active roughly from the mid-1930s to the late 1990s. She specialized in traditional blackware and redware, including polished black-on-black pieces, deeply carved black jars, bowls, and wedding vases. She was a cousin of the renowned matriarch Margaret Tafoya and learned pottery-making from her aunt (often identified as Sarafina/Sara Fina Tafoya) and her grandmother. Family connections place her in the extended Gutierrez-Tafoya lineage; sources describe her as a daughter of Sylvania Naranjo and a granddaughter of Santana Gutierrez (a sister of Geronimo Tafoya). She was married to José (Joe) A. Tafoya and was the mother of Thomas Tafoya, Laura Pino, and Leona Trujillo.
