Rafaelita Aguilar (born 1936 or 1937) is a respected potter from Santo Domingo Pueblo. She began creating pottery in 1953, learning from her mother, Miguelita Aguilar, and following the long-standing Aguilar family traditions that date back to the early 1900s. She is known for specializing in exceptionally large vessels, which are hand-coiled, stone-polished, and pit-fired using traditional methods. Her work often features black-on-black designs (matte and polished black slips for contrast), geometric patterns, stylized motifs, and sometimes etched or painted elements. She occasionally collaborated or is associated with family members like Darlene Aguilar.
