A Sioux (Lakota/Dakota umbilical cord turtle fetish is a traditional Native American amulet or pouch, also known in Lakota as čhekpá ognáke (or similar terms like ƥatkáṡa-kṡúpi-wòťawe for the beaded turtle charm).

These small, animal-shaped containers were made from brain-tanned hide (often deer or buckskin), decorated with glass seed beads, porcupine quills, sinew, and sometimes other materials like horsehair, tin cones, or shells. The turtle shape was specifically for girls; lizard-shaped versions were typically made for boys.
