Southern California desert pottery is traditional ceramics made by Native American tribes in the arid regions of Southern California, such as the Colorado Desert (including parts of Imperial and Riverside counties) and adjacent Mojave areas. This tradition is linked to Yuman-speaking groups (like the Kumeyaay/Diegueño, Quechan/Yuma, and Paipai) and some Shoshonean/Uto-Aztecan neighbors (such as the Cahuilla, Luiseño, Serrano, and Chemehuevi).
