Gloria Holguin is a celebrated Tigua artist from the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo in El Paso, Texas, known for her hand-painted pottery that blends traditional Pueblo designs with contemporary artistic expression. Holguin began her journey in the 1970s through an apprenticeship program. She studied under Gertrude Padilla of the Pueblo of Isleta, who facilitated pottery courses at the Tigua Cultural Center. For over 40 years, she has been a central figure in the Tigua pottery tradition. She currently serves as a staff member for the Department of Cultural Preservation at Ysleta del Sur Pueblo, where she mentors future Tigua artists.
