Zuni Pueblo alabaster white bear fetish is a traditional small stone carving from the Zuni (A:shiwi) people of Zuni Pueblo in western New Mexico. These are hand-carved animal figures—most often bears—made from soft white or cream-colored alabaster (sometimes with natural pinkish or veined tones), frequently featuring turquoise inlay eyes, a heartline (inlaid or etched line from mouth to heart), and a medicine/prayer bundle (arrowhead, turquoise, coral, shell, or beads tied with sinew).
