Vernon Lunasee is a well-known Zuni Pueblo fetish carver from Zuni Pueblo, New Mexico. He belongs to a talented family of carvers (including siblings Reynold, Rosella, and Ronnie Lunasee) and often collaborates with his wife, Prudencia Quam. His work is popular among collectors for its quality and use of attractive stones like Picasso marble, dolomite, jet, and others. Howling coyotes are a recognized style in Zuni carving — often depicted seated or standing with head tilted back.
