Zuni fetishes are small, hand-carved stone sculptures created by artisans of the Zuni Pueblo (A:shiwi) in New Mexico. They hold deep spiritual meaning, representing the spirits or "medicine" of animals to provide protection, healing, or guidance. Traditionally called Ahlashiwe ("stone ancients"), they are rooted in a millennia-old ceremonial culture. Beavers represent hard work, industry, determination, and cooperation.
