Mary Lou Kokaly (often signed as M.L. Kokaly) is a third-generation Zuni Pueblo potter known for her colorful, hand-built clay storyteller.  She comes from a family of potters: her maternal grandparents and mother, Christine Povi Suni (from San Juan/Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo), made pottery and storytellers. Her father is from Isleta Pueblo. Kokaly holds a BFA from the University of New Mexico (1986) and art education certification (1989). She has exhibited at major events like the Santa Fe Indian Market, Heard Museum show, and others.
